Parents Create Blockbuster Video Store For Autistic Son

Lie down. Try not to cry. Cry a lot. Its OK!

It all started with one tweet (below). You see, despite popular belief, there ARE a few remaining Blockbuster Video Stores. Unfortunately, they are only in Alaska and Texas. But now Texas has one less. And unfortunately, the Blockbuster that closed was the one that 20-year-old Hector Zuniga has visited- and rented from- at least once a week for the last 7 years.

Hector is autistic and has issues with transition and change so when the Blockbuster in Lone Star, Texas announced they would be shutting down, Hector's father began buying some of his son's favorite DVDs (nearly 60 of them) plus an entire DVD rack and some Blockbuster signs.

The mini Blockbuster store was set up as a surprise for Hector and the photos that have been going around the internet and broadcast on TV and radio are not only warming hearts but bringing awareness to autism.
